Martin Bell is a British UNICEF (UNICEF UK) Ambassador, a former broadcast war reporter and former independent politician who became the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tatton from 1997 to 2001. He is sometimes known as the man in the white suit .
He was born on 31 August 1938 . He has also directed and cinematographed movies such as Streetwise (1984), American Heart (1992) and Twins (2004) .
In an interview with The Guardian, Martin Bell urged voters to turn this week’s byelections into a referendum on the “loss of trust in public life”, as he warned that Boris Johnson’s conduct is worse than when he ran for MP .
